What QTickets is

A marketplace where Queen’s students resell Eventbrite tickets they already own to other Queen’s students. You need a @queensu.ca email to use it.

Selling

  • Only list tickets you bought yourself and haven’t used, listed elsewhere or transferred.
  • If you connect Eventbrite, we only use it to check that your tickets are in your own orders and whether they were refunded or scanned.
  • You set your own price. You’re responsible for following any resale laws and venue rules that apply to you.
  • Once a ticket sells, don’t use, resell or cancel it. The buyer’s QR is your QR.
  • You’re paid after the event, minus any fees shown before you list. If the buyer reports a real problem, you aren’t paid.

Buying

  • You pay the total shown at checkout. The service fee covers card processing.
  • Your money is held until after the night. If the ticket doesn’t get you in, report it from your pass that night (the deadline is on your pass) and we’ll review it and refund you when the ticket was at fault.
  • False reports lead to a ban, and we may check with the venue or Eventbrite whether your ticket was scanned.
  • Venues can refuse entry for their own reasons (age, dress code, capacity). That isn’t a ticket problem.

Accounts

One account per person. We can suspend accounts that list fake or reused tickets, or that abuse refunds.

The fine print

Sellers set their own prices and are responsible for following applicable resale laws. QTickets is an independent student marketplace and is not affiliated with Eventbrite, Queen’s University or any venue.

QTickets is provided as is. We’re not responsible for events being cancelled, changed or oversold by the organizer.
